Information and Communication
We work closely with the Government of Jersey and other agencies in the event of a severe weather warning. We have robust incident and communication plans in place and are ready to respond, if and when required. We will keep clients informed through various communication channels, including our website, social media, direct email and text messaging.

Flooding: how to prepare, cope and clean up (gov.je)
What you can do to protect your homes and belongings from flooding:
- For our residents in Grands Vaux, as a precaution, consider moving valuable items to upper floors.
- Move vehicles away from Nicholson Close Carpark and ideally to higher ground. Please do not block in other people’s driveways or roads.
- In an emergency – contact the Emergency Services on 999.
- If a Red Weather Warning is in place – stay at home and only essential or emergency travel to take place.

What Andium Homes will do
We will set up sandbags and the custom fit flood defences at Grands Vaux. The bespoke flood defences for all homes at Nicholson Close are held in a secure storage room on site and our team will install these. If they are needed immediately clients can call our Duty Officer who is on call 24/7, 365 days a year to obtain the code for the storage room.

The drains on our estates are regularly inspected and cleaned as part of our planned maintenance programme, additional checks are undertaken if a severe weather warning is issued and the drains are then re-cleaned. The Parishes and Government of Jersey Infrastructure Department are responsible for the drains in the road.
Please contact the Emergency Services Control Centre on 999 if you see any evidence of flooding or require immediate assistance.
