Frank Walker OBE has stepped up from his current position of Non-Executive Director on the Andium Homes Board to take over as the new Chairman.
Andium Homes has now been operating for three years and is successfully delivering on the commitments made in its Strategic Business Plan. The Company benefits from a high performing Board and as it continues to pursue a number of new sites and looks to expand its existing services, it will be beneficial to have a locally based Chairman. In order to maintain continuity and ensure that the Board retains its existing skills, Michael Jones will continue to serve as a Non-Executive Director.
Connetable John Refault, Assistant Minister for Treasury, said “Andium Homes has exceeded our expectation in the delivery of decent homes far earlier than originally envisaged and also the delivery of new homes. The previous Chairman, Michael Jones, was instrumental in bringing Andium through its change from a States Department to an independent and publicly owned entity and I thank him for that. Michael has stepped down from the role of Chairman but will remain as a Non-Executive Director and will continue to provide his property experience to Andium. As Shareholder representative, I have approved the change of role of Frank Walker from current Non-Executive Director for Andium to take up the role of Chairman to steer the company through the next couple of years and deliver a succession plan for the Board.”
Deputy Anne Pryke, Minister for Housing, said, “I am delighted that Frank Walker has been appointed to the position of Chairman for Andium Homes. I have been very impressed with what the company has achieved to date and as it embarks on a significant build programme to deliver more homes for Jersey families to rent or buy, appointing someone with Mr Walker’s experience can only be a positive move”.
